Women Are 22.8% of Senior Managers at Top Turkish Firms
Rate is 150% of overall female employment at blue-chips
- 22.8% of “total top-level administrative staff” of the largest private Turkish companies are women, including 9 of 65 Chairs and 11 of 52 deputy Chairs.
- The share of top executives is far higher than the 14.4% of total employees who are female.
- 22.5% of the companies’ boards were women, at 54 of 239 directorships. 34 of the 122 general managers, general coordinators and CEOs were women.
- The figures come from the Turkish Confederation of Employers Unions’ survey of 111 top companies. There was no detail on what positions met the standard of top level nor of percentages for previous years. (There was also no explanation of how the 111 companies had only a total of 239 directors.)
