Why Women Mean Business: Now Available in Italian

Wittenberg-Cox launches book with Milan event featuring Il Sole chiefs

20-first CEO Avivah Wittenberg-Cox’s first book Why Women Mean Business has been published in Italian. The book, which was co-written with the journalist Alison Maitland, has the Italian title “Womenomics: Donne ed economia.”


The Italian edition was introduced at a Milan book launch event on Monday, March 8, the 2010 International Women’s Day. Other participants included Gianni Riotta, editor in chief of the business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Andrea Ichino, Daniela Del Boca, Renato Mannheimer, head of Ispo; Mariavittoria Rava and Martina Colombari of the Francesca Rava Foundation . The moderator was Laura La Posta, editor of Il Sole 24 Ore’s weekly economics supplement, who wrote the newspaper’s review of the book in translation.

The event was co-sponsored by Il Sole 24 Ore, and the fashion company Luxottica.


Why Women Mean Business is also available in French,Korean,Arabic and Portuguese and other translations are pending. Wittenberg-Cox will be publishing the essential follow-up guide, How Women Mean Business: A Step by Step Guide to Profiting from Gender Balanced Business, in April 2010 (Wiley). This next book is expected to be translated into other languages as well.
