Rwanda shows the world how to gender balance politics
Over the course of two days Rwanda, the country in the world with the highest political representation of women, hosted an international women's forum. Around the theme of "Examining the Role of Leadership in Promoting Gender Equality," the forum celebrated important achievements and promoted the empowerment of women. The Rwandan government has made notable efforts in favor of gender balance, imposing a 30% quota on women in leadership positions that has led to women holding 56% of seats in parliament.

- He asked for greater involvement by world leaders and encouraged them to follow the example of their peers who develop successful gender programs.
- Rwanda is actively fighting against gender discrimination.
- Just last month, a policy on the elimination of all forms of violence against women was approved by the Rwandan cabinet.
