Delhi Tops List as Most Unsafe City to Work In
Women Need Better and More Secure Ways to Commute
53 per cent of working women in India worry about their safety, with the metropolitan results ranging from 65 per cent in Delhi, followed by 56 per cent in Bangalore, to 26 per cent in Mumbai. Working at night, common in the rapidly growing call-center and other new-technology industries, particularly worry women, especially following a high-profile murder of a night-hours television journalist. The group that completed the survey suggested that government require GPS in taxis that women use to get home from night shifts.
