Decline is First in Five Years of Tracking
- For the first time since 2003, when the first survey was done, the number and percentage of female executive officers in Massachusetts and the percentage of companies with a woman among their most highly compensated officers declined in 2008.
- The results of the Boston Club study showed that women accounted for 68, or 9.2 percent, of the 736 executive officers of the 100 largest publicly traded companies in Massachusetts in 2008, down from 82, or 10.9 percent, in 2007.
