On the order of 9 in 10 Small Businesses Are Started by Women
- The number of women heading Russian companies more than doubled in 2008 from 2007, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers
- A record number of startups in Russia are owned by women.
- On the order of nine in ten small businesses in Russia are owned by women, estimates Elena Shulgina, a business consultant quoted by Russia Today’s online editon. “That makes us number one in the world. I was really surprised by these research findings.”
