UniCredit program aims to advance Czech women in management
Bank works with U.S. Business School Praha to recruit internally and externally
- UniCredit Bank has a joint program with the Czech-based MBA institution U.S. Business School Praha that aims to raise the share of women in the bank’s top management through internal and external recruitment.
- The Women’s International Network promotes mentoring, networking and continuing education for Czech women and is part of UniCredit’s efforts since 2007 to support women’s professional growth to diversify top management within the company
- USBSP hopes the UniCredit effort can be adapted later for other companies seeking to promote more women.
- Dagmar Mádrová, the main branch manager at a UniCredit bank in Prague 5, said that in the Czech banking sector women hold more than half of entry level positions but make up only about a third of middle management and a mere 6% of senior management positions.
