Catalyst Awards Hail 4 Firms for Gender Diversity Initiatives

Baxter International, CH2M HILL, Gibbons and KPMG Win 2009 Honors

  • Baxter International, CH2M HILL, Gibbons and KPMG were the 2009 Catalyst award winners for their initiatives to advance women in the workplace.
  • The companies received their awards at a March 31 dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York that was chaired by Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Kraft Foods, one of the approximately 100 CEOs attending.
  • Baxter International’s Asia Pacific initiative, Building Talent Edge attained its target of gender parity across management-level and critical positions two years ahead of schedule.
  • CH2M HILL’s Constructing Pathways for Women Through Inclusion initiative provides a model for accelerating women’s advancement and brought the company the first Catalyst award in the engineering and construction sector.
  • Gibbons’s Women’s Initiative: Driving Success Through Diversity Investment generated more than 6% of the company’s 2007 revenue.
  • KPMG’s Great Place to Build a Career initiative constructs a culture of career growth, mentoring, and accountability for a pool of diverse individuals.
