More Women at Multinationals in China than India
India ranks last at all levels in regional study
- More than 4 in 10 employees at multinationals in China and Singapore are women, vs. just 25% in India, the lowest percentage among four countries in Asia surveyed by the Diversity and Inclusion in Asia Network.
- India ranked last in the proportion of women in multinationals across junior, middle and senior management levels.
- In Japan, women make up 33.8% of multinationals’ work forces, while in Singapore they are 43.8% and in China they are 42.9%.
- The survey was based on only 11 companies, but they ranged from Cisco to Standard Chartered.
